I've never seen such a thing...but ewwww...they sound nasty! I'm sure the dogs would love them, but I don't know if they're okay or not!
Wow...I'm sure helpful!

If it is green tripe - it is EXCELLENT for dogs. Serves as organ meat.

Come on, people... I stil have the pound of frozen beef intestines but I don't know if they're ok to feed. They're sold for people food but I don't know if they've been cleaned or if they need to be.... I was thinking I could boil them if they're 'too scary' to feed raw. I need the freezer space and would like the variety ... should I feed them? Should I boil them?

I say feed them. If you are hesistant, feed just a small amount, like you would organ meat.

if they are for humans, it will be white and smooth textured and probably doesn't smell much.
Green tripe is lumpy, smells gross, and is gray-ish green-ish. Green tripe is NOT sold for human consumption.
Either kind of tripe is ok for them, but the green is much better nutritionally. Leave them both raw.

I think their main use is for sausage casings so they will be clean but it wont hurt to feed them.

Yeah - I was trying to figure out what 'dish' they were for and wondered if it was just for sausage casings. I just watch the sales and try different stuff but I couldn't quite get my head around intestines... . Ok, I'll thaw them for tonite and feed some. Thanks!

Ok ... they were NASTY!!! I fed 4 0z to each dog and tossed the rest - and I had 2.11 lbs of it not just a pound! Brown goo oozed out of them and they STANK but I wasn't convinced it was a good stank like in tripe. So, don't try this a home peepz - nasty stuff. No diarrhea or funny poopz but hardly slept that nite in fear of it.
